New Airline to offer flights from East Midlands to Jersey

East Midlands Airport has announced the arrival of Loganair as a new airline partner, marking the introduction of a new daily service to Jersey starting this spring.

The new route will enhance the airport’s passenger offering, with convenient afternoon departures operating from both East Midlands Airport and Jersey each day from May 31 this year.

Jersey provides an idyllic island retreat, featuring sweeping golden beaches, sheltered coves, and some of the warmest waters in the British Isles — an ideal setting for both relaxation and adventure. The island is equally renowned for its vibrant food scene, where fresh local ingredients combine with French-inspired influences. From seafood landed straight off the boat to award-winning restaurants and charming coastal cafés, Jersey offers a memorable culinary experience. Beyond its gastronomy, the island presents a wide variety of leisure activities, including scenic cliff-top walks, cycling routes, boutique shopping, and family attractions, making it an appealing destination for travellers.

Loganair’s strong industry reputation further underscores the announcement. Last year, the airline was ranked among the top-performing short-haul carriers by Which? and was also named the UK’s most punctual airline by the Civil Aviation Authority.

Loganair becomes the second new airline to launch operations at East Midlands Airport this year. SunExpress is also set to begin twice-weekly flights to Antalya, Türkiye, at the end of next month.

The introduction of Loganair’s Jersey service represents a major boost for passengers flying from East Midlands Airport, delivering a convenient new connection while expanding the airport’s portfolio of direct leisure destinations. Customers can already book seats, with one-way fares starting from £84.99, including a 21kg baggage allowance.

East Midlands Airport’s Commercial Director Adam Andrews said:
“It’s fantastic to welcome a new airline to the airport and provide our customers with more choice. We know that Jersey is a really popular destination with our customers in addition to East Midlands being a fantastic gateway for islanders to access our great region and beyond.

“Loganair is a well-established and successful regional airline and this announcement including links to other destinations shows a commitment to providing great connections to and from Jersey. We look forward to working with them and exploring other opportunities together.”

Ronnie Matheson, chief commercial officer at Loganair, said:
“Strengthening connectivity from Jersey is hugely important to Loganair, and these new routes represent a meaningful step forward for the island. By adding direct services to key UK cities, Dublin, and Paris, we’re giving customers in Jersey more choice, better access, and greater flexibility when travelling for work, leisure, or onward connections.

“This is a particularly exciting milestone for us, and it demonstrates our ongoing commitment to investing in routes that deliver real value for island communities while maintaining the high levels of service and reliability Loganair is known for.”
